When we isolate ourselves something bad happens.
We lose touch with reality. We lose part of ourselves, our humanness.
In an ever polarizing world it's crucial that we find ways to connect.
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
If there is no connection, there is no existence.
Here's where it gets interesting. The more connection we have, the fuller our lives become. This goes for our loved ones, friends, and our businesses and organizations. They're all meant to connect.
It boils down to "how can we connect better?"
I'll tell you what doesn't help: facebook arguments. Watching TV. Dinking around on our ever-evolving phones.
Here's what does help: Making something that will stand the test of time. Asking the hard questions. Giving generously and anonymously. Cultivating warmth along with intelligence. Saying "hello, how are you?" and meaning it.
The best thing we can do is help. In order to do that we need to connect.
What do you think? I'd like to hear about it in the comments.
