In our tribal days as human beings, we averaged around 4 hours per day of work. Four hours total. Contrast that with today's tempo. How many hours do we put towards just living? There's 40 in our jobs, but that's not counting all the extra stuff we need to do on top of it.
We are constantly doing more and being more the more we evolve. We weren't meant to do it all, and we weren't meant to do it all right now. Sometimes things have to take a back seat to what's really important today.
It's worth asking ourselves "What's the top thing?" and then asking "Will this be the top thing ten years from now?" If the answer is 'no' then keep looking.
