Our attention is drawn towards novelty while we slip right by the unoriginal.  The 'tried and true.'  Heck, we even give it a name: cliche.  

Ever ask a professional for advice only to be disappointed by the cliche response?  The disappointment doesn't come from the pro, it's in you and me.  It shows us that we are not ready (yet) for the truth that lies in the tried and true.
